1. Introduction
- These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and use of facilities at Woodland Lakes, including wild swimming, family swimming, paddleboarding, and sauna sessions (collectively referred to as “activities”).
- By making a booking, attending a session, or entering the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
- Please read carefully before taking part. Participation in any activity is entirely at your own risk.
- A defibrillator (defib) is located on-site at Woodland Lakes for emergency use.
2. Eligibility and Participation

- We strongly recommend using a tow float and brightly coloured swim cap for visibility.
- Wetsuits are recommended in cold conditions or during colder months for warmth and safety.

- Do not enter the water under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Respect other lake users’ space at all times.
- Paddleboard hire is subject to availability and all users must follow any safety guidance provided by Woodland Lakes staff.
- The online booking price for paddleboarding covers access to the lake when bringing your own paddleboard and equipment. Paddleboard hire is available separately on-site, subject to availability, and can be paid for at the venue.
- Sessions may have capacity limits, including limits on the number of paddleboards permitted on the lake at any one time.
5. Sauna Rules
- Sauna use is available only by pre-booking. Each booking is for a 1-hour session (entry and exit time included). Please ensure you have vacated the sauna by the end of your slot to allow the next guests to begin on time.
- Woodland Lakes operates both adult-only sauna sessions and family sauna sessions. Children may only use the family sauna when accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over.
- Parents and guardians are fully responsible for assessing whether sauna use is suitable for the children in their care.
- No alcohol, drugs, or glass containers are allowed in or near the sauna.
- Stay hydrated — bring a bottle of water and take regular breaks.
- If you feel dizzy, unwell, or overheated, leave the sauna immediately and cool down slowly.
- Pregnant guests or those with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, or medical concerns should consult their doctor before use.
- Swimwear or appropriate attire must be worn at all times unless otherwise stated for private hire sessions.
- No shaving, oils, creams, or food are permitted inside the sauna.
- Please keep conversations respectful and noise levels low to maintain a relaxing atmosphere.
- Do not pour excessive water on the sauna stones; use the ladle and follow posted guidance.
